About the OBJ
This project is one of the outcomes of a long-term research and design exploration titled From Miniature to Object. While each object is presented individually to highlight its unique characteristics, they all belong to a larger narrative that unfolds through the project’s evolving story, methodology, and creative process. During my research on miniature art, I discovered the significance of framing. In this collection, I focused on the use of frames, drawing inspiration from Persian miniatures. For example, you can see the distinctiveness of the framing in The Funeral of the Elderly Attar of Nishapur, painted in 1486 by Behzād, which portrays the scene after Attar was held captive and killed by a Mongol invader.
